  • Training Outline
Drilling & Coring Operations Clearly explains drilling to non-technical persons. Drilling rigs have many, many parts and rig personnel do many, many things; as a result, it is hard to make the drilling process understandable. To help students understand, however, this course not only describes parts and techniques in simple terms, it also tells why a part or a technique is necessary. What is more, photos and drawings show the equipment, the personnel, and many of the operations described in text.

This course is designed to meet two requirements:
To identify core elements of training programs for new rig employees, and To provide a means of recognizing programs that adhere to those elements An effective safety orientation program is a vital element in today’s energy industry. R-SIT has developed a standard core curriculum that is world-class.
A R-SIT card shows the bearer has completed R-SIT instruction with offshore endorsement as defined by the drilling industry’s leading safety and training professionals. Students will complete this program followed by a written exam he or she must pass. The curriculum includes 12 basic modules applicable to any operation.
